Check your credit reports, people! You never know what companies are doing these days. I tell you what they don’t do well, and that’s their job. As precious as your credit should be to you, you need to make sure that there is nothing creeping on your report that shouldn’t be there. Scams come in all shapes and sizes. You could get hit and not even know it (unless you monitor your credit regularly). I’ve heard stories of accounts not being charged off, accounts still listed as active and is not supposed to be, and items that are listed that don’t even belong to the consumer. Learn to view your credit score and reports as children or a pet (if you dont have children). Especially if you have future goals that will require a loan of some sort. You want to check your score and reports in advance so that no problems hinder you while you are in the loan process. You never know how long it could take to dispute with the credit bureau. So take charge of your financial future today by checking out your credit report(s).
